The Chair of Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of COVID-19, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov paid a working visit to the Akmola region.
The deputy prime minister held a meeting with the regional leadership on the epidemiological situation in the region, heard a report on the measures taken to ensure preparedness for the second wave of coronavirus infection.
The deputy prime minister noted that in the region in October 2020, the number of registered cases of COVID-19 increased by 2.7 times.
Yeraly Tugzhanov noted the need to improve the efficiency of monitoring groups for compliance with restrictive measures, in particular, in Kokshetau, Stepnogorsk and a number of districts. The deputy prime minister paid special attention to strengthening work on tracking contact persons and patients with COVID-19, as well as increasing the capacity of PCR laboratories.
In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation in the region, the chair of the Interdepartmental Commission instructed the regional akimat to take a number of restrictive measures from Nov. 9, 2020:
During the working trip, the deputy prime minister got acquainted with the work of the new modular infectious diseases hospital and other facilities implemented within the framework of the Employment Roadmap 2020.
