In pursuance of the order of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, by the order of the Prime Minister Askar Mamin, a Government Commission for Eliminating the Consequences of the Events in the Korday District of the Zhambyl region was established.

The Commission, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Berdibek Saparbayev, includes Akim of the Zhambyl Region Askar Myrzakhmetov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Birzhan Nurymbetov, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament Shakir Khakhazov and Chairman of the Public Association “Kazakhstan Dungan Society” Abubakir Vointse, first vice ministers of finance, industry and infrastructure development, vice ministers of information and social development, national economy, healthcare, education and science, vice ministers of internal affairs, defense, the Prosecutor General and the Chairman of the National Security Committee.

The Commission has been tasked with identifying the causes of the conflict, as well as ensuring the prompt resolution of issues of a socio-economic and humanitarian nature, and assessing the extent of damage.
