Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructs to strengthen quarantine measures in 4 regions

Prime Minister Askar Mamin held a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Infection in Kazakhstan.

Minister of Healthcare Aleksey Tsoy reported on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country, Akim of Nur-Sultan Altay Kulginov, Akims of Karaganda region Zhenis Kassymbek, Atyrau region — Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, as well as the first deputy akim of Shymkent Shyngys Mukan reported on the situation in the regions.

The sanitary and epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan is tense. The incidence of COVID-19 is on the rise. The growth of the delta strain of coronavirus is recorded in all regions. The virus reproductive index is 1.2, the occupancy of infectious beds — 43%, intensive care — 35%.

12 regions are in the red zone in terms of the spread of coronavirus: the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent, Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Mangystau, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions.

In the yellow zone are Almaty, Zhambyl and Kyzylorda regions, in the green zone — East Kazakhstan and Turkistan regions.

To date, more than 4.6 million people or 46.5% of the contingent to be vaccinated have been vaccinated with the first component, over 2.5 million people — with the second component. The lowest coverage of the population with vaccinations is noted in the Mangystau region — 23.6%, West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions — 39% each.

The Interdepartmental Commission made a decision to tighten quarantine measures in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Shymkent, Karaganda and Atyrau regions, which account for 55% of morbidity and mortality in the country:

Intercity, intraregional, urban regular and irregular (tourist) bus and minibus transportation will be suspended for excluding objects participating in Ashyq. The activities of closed beaches and water parks, attractions are suspended.

On weekends, regardless of participation in Аshyq, the activity of public transport, shopping and entertainment centers, trading houses, retail chains, sports facilities (sports complexes, sports schools, sports clubs, training halls), catering facilities, food courts (work on food delivery is allowed), fitness centers, fitness clubs, yoga centers, sports and recreation facilities, saunas, baths, spa centers, swimming pools, cinemas, theaters, concert halls, philharmonic societies, circuses, objects for the sale of non-food products with an area of ​​over 1000 sq. m, open and covered markets, computer clubs, bowling alleys, billiard rooms, karaoke, nightclubs, educational centers, circles for children and adults, children's development centers, children's entertainment centers, banks, public service centers, Kazpost offices, religious facilities is prohibited.

On weekdays, activities are limited until 17.00 of children's entertainment centers (playgrounds, attractions in closed rooms), shopping malls, trading houses, retail chains, open and covered markets.

On weekdays, activities are limited until 17.00 (members of Ashyq — until 20.00) catering facilities, food courts, fitness centers, fitness clubs, yoga centers, sports and recreation facilities, saunas, spa centers, sports facilities, pools, cinemas.

A remote work format is being introduced for 80% of employees of all organizations, with the exception of those vaccinated and recovered within the last 3 months.

The Head of Government instructed the regional akimats, central state bodies to take all measures to mobilize the resources of the health care system, including the provision of reserve beds, medicines, personal protective equipment, medical equipment and personnel. Pay special attention to the work of primary health care.

The Prime Minister instructed the regional akimats to increase the rate of vaccination, especially in the Mangystau, West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions.
