Askar Mamin’s visit to Abu Dhabi: Kazakhstan and the UAE accommodated investment projects for $6.1 billion

As part of his working trip to Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Askar Mamin met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, finance and investment, transport and logistics, agro-industrial, construction, petrochemical, space, tourism and other areas.

As a result of negotiations between the governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE, a document on investment cooperation which envisages the implementation of 21 projects worth $6.1 billion, was signed.

The projects proposed by Kazakhstan to the Emirates side provide for the creation of new industries with high added value and great demand potential both in the domestic and promising foreign markets. Their implementation will create new high-quality jobs in Kazakhstan, introduce advanced technologies and practices in Kazakhstan.

The Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE pay special attention to implementing the potential of cooperation in the agro-industrial sector – 10 out of 21 planned projects envisage the launch of food production with high added value. This will allow Kazakhstan to become an important link in the Food Security Strategy implemented by the UAE until 2051 and will further increase trade between the two countries.

The working trip was attended by the Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov, Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms Zaslan Madiev, Chairman of the Board of JSC Baiterek National Management Holding Aidar Arifkhanov, Akim of Nur-Sultan Altay Kulginov and others.
